Loftplan

Having recently completed our loft conversion with Loftplan, we could not be any happier with the quality of work and the added space to our property, which is a master bedroom with en-suite. Our initial consultations were with Nic where he took measurements, answered all our questions, and provided a sketch of what the loft could look like, which was extremely useful to visualise the art of the possible. Following further consultation and agreement of the plans to proceed, he provided a full and detailed fixed price detailing exactly what we were paying for and what was not included in the price. Although we had planning problems in the initial stages (full dormer not allowed by Wiltshire Council), Loftplan/Surveyor quickly resolved and new plans were immediately submitted for 2 x Dormers, which was accepted. The project commenced Nov 25 under the supervision of Warren and initial build by Grant and John. Warren went through all the details meticulously, managing our expectations as well as suggesting minor alterations from the plans, which provided even more space and a better look with the staircase. Grant and John were fantastic with the initial fit and even made alterations in the bathroom that provided more space. Then came Steve and Jack to install the stairs and de-construct/construct new walls – again both were excellent, and Steve went to the extra effort of ensuring we retained a fitted wardrobe in our existing main bedroom. At this time there was also a flurry of activity as the plasterers, roofer, electricians, and plumber (Alan) came to install the first fix. They were all communicative and fitted to our requirements, were tidy and conducted their work professionally. Second fix carpentry and finishing touches was conducted by the excellent Shaun, and he was followed by the bathroom tiler (Nick), who was worth the wait as his workmanship is of the highest quality (hopefully the pictures show that). Alan then completed the bathroom and second fix plumbing, with which we are delighted. Overall, the build lasted around 6 months and whilst a bit longer than expected, this was all acceptable and we allowed Loftplan the flexibility to programme us in when they could. The work was also delayed at times because of the horrible rain we had for the entirety of Dec/Jan. In summary, all the tradesmen were friendly, professional, communicative, tidy and it was apparent that they took pride in their work under the supervision of Warren, who made a final visit to inspect and reassure that we can contact Loftplan if there are any issues or concerns in the future. Thank you to all who were involved - we could not be happier with our new bedroom and ensuite and would highly recommend Loftplan.

It’s completely sane to start a loft conversion with a 6 week old baby, a 2 year old and a few cats. Thankfully, Loftplan made the process as easy as possible. Everything was handled by Bob; booking everyone we needed and getting jobs done quickly to a high standard. Sometimes things happen so quickly we were told a few days before, but we had the flexibility to accommodate this. Each person that came to our house to work, they were lovely. Everyone was polite, cared for our home and kept it as clean as possible. We had regular catch ups and could discuss what was happening. When we occasionally changed our mind on something, they were accommodating. Thank you for working with us to build a beautiful space we will love for years.

We are very happy with our new en-suite master bedroom built by Loftplan. The whole loft conversion process took a little longer than originally planned due to the holiday period and the heatwave, but we are very pleased with the final result. The pricing was also clear and fixed from the outset, with no hidden or unexpected charges. Loftplan’s in-house builders and carpenters were efficient and professional throughout. Our project manager, Warren, was very responsive to our queries and quick to resolve any issues that arose with their contracted plumbers and electricians. He was also very attentive to detail, offered useful advice throughout the project, and did his best to accommodate our needs. Overall, we would happily recommend Loftplan to anyone considering a loft conversion.

I cannot recommend Loft plan highly enough. Our loft extension project commenced in March of this year and was structurally complete by July! Warren, Chris and Mark - just a few of Loftplan’s exceptional tradesmen - absolutely blew us away with their skill and attention to detail. They were polite, diligent and considerate, always clearing up and keeping the site spotless. Communication was key to us feeling in control and our project manger Warren kept us updated daily, informing us of who would be working on site. His responses to any questions we had were always swift and knowledgable. Loftplan’s use of an independent building regs company helped bypass the long, tedious council led process locally, allowing the project to progress seamlessly and to be signed off efficiently. Loftplan were originally recommended to us by some friends and we have been utterly impressed by them. There is not a single negative point to be made and we are grateful to have had them recommended to us. Thank you Loftplan.

We are very pleased with our loft conversion by Loftplan, which added two double bedrooms and a large shower room to our home. During the initial consultation and quoting phase, Alan at Loftplan stood out from the competitors. He quickly understood our requirements, maximised our available loft space in his design, and provided useful guidance on the build process. We also found Loftplan’s quote to be very competitive. Throughout the construction phase, Warren, our Project Manager, was excellent. He was responsive and reliable, and accommodated all of our requests. Furthermore, all the tradespeople were courteous, friendly, and helpful. While we had a few snagging issues and plumbing problems, Warren promptly addressed and resolved them. We would highly recommend Loftplan!
