Oxford Garden Design

Oxford Garden Design transformed my horribly overgrown and neglected back garden. Jamie produced a fabulous design which exactly matches my aesthetic but also accommodates my lack of gardening skills. Then the team went into action digging and creating in double quick time and were a pleasure to have around. Now just over a year on it is maturing beautifully and is full of colour and variety. The bees are loving it, and so am I. Wholeheartedly recommend OGD.

All the people we dealt with were very pleasant and they respected our property. Tom the designer listened to our requirements and came up with a plan that reflected that. He readily adjusted the plan when we suggested a couple of minor changes. He supervised the planting and was careful to direct that each plant went where he wanted it. An important feature of the garden design was a wildlife pond. Without any prompting from us, Tom spotted that the first effort was incorrectly lined and shaped, and OGD then devoted considerable resources into rectifying this, although more liner was showing on the lip of the pond than we expected. All the groundworkers worked hard, often in difficult weather. Lou in the office was always very helpful when we phoned. The project took some time, due to waiting for the right weather conditions for certain elements. Towards the end, communications got a little ragged once or twice but these were sorted out. Now that the garden is beginning to grow, it looks wonderful. We would use oxford Garden Design again.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Oxford Garden Design. This is the second time they have worked on our garden. Recently, they updated and improved our back garden by clearing two areas, adding mulch and landscape matting then laying Cotswold pebbles. Several fruit trees were sensitively pruned- for the first time in their existence! This work took place over several days, mostly with two people there, who worked very hard. The work involved moving tons to old soil to a skip and wheelbarrowing the new materials to the back garden- very labour intensive and hard work. The were all lovely people, interested and interesting, keen to do a good job and to leave the area tidy. Kimberly even carefully collected some of the cyclamen that were growing in the area for us to replant. We are thrilled with the result. OGD also were helpful when we changed our requests- often at shortish notice, and amended the bill downwards to reflect the changes.

We are very impressed by the professionalism and skills of Paul and Spike from Oxford Garden Design. They have transformed our beautiful but very overgrown garden into an incredibly chic and contemporary outdoor living/entertaining space. We are thrilled with the new look, and their hard work should be commended. It is not always the case where unfailingly polite and cheerful builders turn up on time, do what they say they will do , and within the timescale specified. We are so grateful and fortunate to have had the privilege of working with them. I highly recommend this company, it was a pleasure to work with Paul and Spike, equally appreciate the hard work done by the entire amazing team, Paul, Lou, Lizzie, Andy and John

I was absolutely thrilled with the excellent work of the delightful, charming and very efficient Toby from OGD today - pruning our very precious 18 year old wisteria which had grown seriously 'out of control'! It hadn't been touched for two years and now looks great and in amazing health! We are at one of the gates into Blenheim with a lot of walkers passing by so we all now cannot wait to see it bloom in the early summer! Thank you Toby it was an absolute delight to have you do this job for us. x
